Kurt Papstein

Born and raised behind the Redwood Curtain of Northern California - to working on games, movies, and teaching in Southern California. Now residing in San Francisco, continuing what I love with amazing people in an amazing city.

I've worked with multiple game developers such as Turtle Rock Studios, Trion Worlds, Liquid Developement, and InXile Entertainment. More recently I've been working as a concept artist for J.J. Abrams' Bad Robot Productions, Ironklad Studios, and freelance for some unannounced projects. I've had the honor to see my work featured in multiple magazines and books under 3dArtist and 3dTotal publications. Some of my online classes have also been hosted by the respected, Phoenix Atelier. Outside of all this, I enjoy teaching at Laguna College of Art and Design, sharing my experience in character and creature production.
