Hey all!

Back from Monsterpalooza, and I'm happy to say we have some kits available for our online friends. Produced and sold by Level 52 Studios. Paints by Chris Trout, Hanna Myers, and Matt Huff. They are almost all sold, so move quick! Once they are gone they are gone for good.

I want to thank you all for the continued support. Monsterpalooza was extremely fun and felt great to get my work out there, talk with old friends and make new ones. It really means a lot to see that these critters are going to such loving homes. More to come soon!

Transparent Creatures Tutorial

Happy New Year!

For those of you curious about the new Transparent Creatures tutorial available now, here's a trailer to wet your appetite!

This tutorial will show you how I am able to start without an idea, and quickly render a creature to completion featuring transparent skin layers and organic forms. Sculpting the design from a sphere in ZBrush, I spend my time building up a foundation of anatomy and surface details. Working with Subtools to build out additional organic parts such as teeth, eyes, and organs. I discuss how I work with Polypaint to create convincing skin textures, and how I adjust my render settings in ZBrush to produce my final images. Finally, I share how to composite your renders in Photoshop, preparing the creature for final presentation.
